All You Need is a Quickie
This morning after the Daily Call I was thinking about how good it feels sometimes to just vent! That all it takes to shift sometimes are just a few minutes to cry, to be pissed, to express our feelings, to be able to laugh at ourselves, to love ourselves again, and move on to the next thing. On the 20 minute Daily Call I’ve been hosting for the past month, each caller takes a turn to share anything that is going on in their world, whatever it is they are feeling, whatever their intentions may be for the day, as a daily check-in. There is no feedback offered. No interrupting, no advice giving, no problem solving. There is no problem to be or feel however you are on this call. And in this precious space, in just the few minutes of sharing we each take, while sometimes there is simply awareness, there can also be such a sweet release and with that simple release of emotion and energy, a part of us is free. Give yourself this practice today, a chance to share your feelings instead of eating them. Whether you decide to join the Daily Call, call a good friend, or use your journal. Vent for just a few minutes. Sometimes all you need is a quickie.
